Lori, my dear, what a fun fic!
I adored everything from beginning to end. The idea of that lost box prompting the niceness test was such a lovely touch! Actually, the entire concept of this fic and the way you weaved together all the little stories was so well-done! I loved it!
And Hamid is hilarious in this fic. I laughed so loud imagining these happening again and again:
“My dove, you have to stop spoiling me on Christmas…” He joked.
“I don’t! You keep confiscating things from me and then saying it’s your Christmas gift!”
OMG! And the entire sequence about Daphne getting high on oil painting was soooo good and I adore all the teasing (even though if I were Daphne I would want to strangle my cute bf and his impeccable memory 🤣). I'll just highlight some of my favorite bits of this part:
"Perhaps for you. I'm still bummed my phone battery died before I recorded your speech about vampires being real," he teased.
"But The Attack of Vampire Sirens is one of my favourite paintings nowadays! Annabelle liked it too. And it gives you something to show to one of your bosses."
I'm still here sitting and lamenting this is all fictional and we'll never have a glimpse of Daphne's masterpiece 😂😂😂
"It's summer... You can paint outdoors. Preferably in the balcony. Or anywhere windy. With no alcoholic beverages near you..." He suggested as his lips curled upwards again.
He won't ever let go, will he?
I love how you write his sense of humour and all the interactions. The coal as a gift and all the last part at Edgewater with their friends was amazing! Loved seeing Briar and Bart and their mischief!
It's lovely that we can see how far they've come in life and in their relationship, how they've lived through the good, the bad and the hilarious.
Thanks, my dear, for sharing your gifts with the fandom! We're blessed to have you here! And I'm happy to have your friendship 😊
